In this book, Dr. Mark Ludwig examines the history of two prior paradigms (or models) of government, and how they have failed. He takes the reader through the history of ancient kings, who lived and acted like gods incarnate, and discusses how they were brought under the rulership of Christ. Then the king grew into the vicar of Christ and once more became like a god on earth, living beyond the reach of law. Yet in so doing he again became a tyrant and had to be subdued. Now we live in an age in which the second paradigm - representative government - has begun to careen out of control and become more and more tyrannical.
